Why consider Invisalign® treatment?

Results you can see. Braces you can't

Orthodontic Specialists

Discreet

If you don't like the look of braces, Invisalign® aligners are made from transparent material, so the people you see every day won't even notice you're wearing them.

Orthodontic Specialists

Removable

You can take out your aligners when you eat, drink and clean your teeth, so they won't interfere with your daily life and you won't have to give up favourite foods.

Orthodontic Specialists

Comfortable

Your Invisalign® aligners will be custom made to fit over your teeth. While there may be minor discomfort at first, they're generally more comfortable than braces.

What is Invisalign®?

Invisalign® treatment is orthodontics without conventional braces. Instead of attaching brackets and wires to your teeth, we’ll create a series of clear aligners that fit snugly over your teeth. These are designed to be almost invisible to the naked eye, so you won’t have to worry about your appearance.

If you need orthodontic treatment, but you don’t like the way braces look and feel, Invisalign® treatment could be the answer. Under the guidance of our specialist orthodontists, Invisalign® can be just as effective as braces for straightening teeth and correcting other common issues.

How does Invisalign® work?

Like braces, Invisalign® aligners apply small forces to move your teeth into their new position. But that’s where the similarities end.

While braces are adjusted by your orthodontist every few weeks, each set of Invisalign® aligners are worn for around 2 weeks. Before you progress to the next one. Your Orthodontist will review your progress every 6 to 8 weeks. We use Invisalign® software to design a whole series of aligners that will move your teeth in small steps towards your new smile.

You should wear your aligners a minimum of 22 hours a day for the best results, only taking them out when you need to eat, drink, brush or floss your teeth.

Will Invisalign®work for me?

Invisalign® works well for many mild to moderate Orthodontic problems. Your Orthodontist will advise if it’s a good choice for you.

Invisalign® Teen

Invisalign® can be an option for teenagers and young adults who want orthodontics without the braces.

Invisalign® Teen includes blue compliance indicators. These fade through continued use to remind teens when it’s time to replace their aligners with the next set – although teens are generally better at wearing their aligners than adults!

We recommend keeping your aligners in for at least 22 hours per day, including while you’re asleep. They should be taken out when you’re eating and brushing or flossing your teeth.

Most people wear their aligners for about 2 weeks before replacing them with the next set. We’ll give you a few sets in advance each time you visit us for a check-up, which is usually every 6 weeks depending on your needs.

Like all orthodontic treatments, Invisalign® is a long-term commitment. The average treatment time is between 9 and 15 months, which can involve between 18 and 30 sets of aligners during that time. We’ll give you a specific timeline when we create your personal treatment plan.

Yes. Wearing a retainer is essential after any orthodontic treatment, including Invisalign®, to make sure your teeth stay in their corrected position.

Invisalign® isn’t a one-size-fits-all solution. The cost varies depending on the type of Invisalign® system you choose, the type of condition you want to treat and the number of aligners you need.

We’ll give you an estimate of treatment costs during your consultation and an accurate price once we’ve designed your treatment plan, so you can decide if you’re happy to go ahead.

We offer interest-free payment plans if you’d prefer to pay for your treatment cost in instalments.
